ABOUT

Pulque is the original Mexican alcoholic beverage, first brewed more than 1,000 years ago using sap from the Maguey (Agave) plant.  It would be 500 years later that Mezcal was first distilled using Agave, and then many more years until Tequila was created.  That is why Pulque is considered the Grandfather of Tequila.  Up to the mid-20th century, Pulquerias (taverns that specialized in brewing Pulque) were a staple in part of every Mexican community.  Our Brewmaster, Jorge Marinez, spent 30 years mastering the craft of making Primo Pulque, which stays fresh in the can and is enjoyed around the world.
