I am downloading some TV Series using uTorrent .But I want to download on the basis of the episode ( File name ) sequentially .So I want the 4th episode to start downloading only after the first three are finished .Currently I am changing the file priority for 2/3 torrents to high and all others are skipped . Attempts to download the selected torrents in sequential order. Torrent pieces are usually downloaded in an optimal order which maximizes speed and benefits to the swarm health. Downloading in sequential order is useful for preview files. However, this feature is against Bittorrent protocol recommendations due to its negative effect on the swarm. See uTorrent settings with opened parameters bt.sequential_download (use this for sequential download one movie) and bt.sequential_files (use this for sequential download TVseries from in that sequence as specified in torrent file).

As far as I know there is no way to control what files of a torrent are downloaded first due to the very nature of a Torrent. If it were possible to do so then I would imagine Torrents would lose their viability for a method of downloading files quickly (again, due to the nature in which torrents are executed).
This used to be an advanced option in uTorrent you could set for all torrents, but now the only way to do it is if you click on the torrent, go to the files tab below the torrent list, rick click the video, Copy Stream URL, open that up with a video player such as VLC and then it will set that file to download sequentially. After that, you can either leave the video running closing the player should keep it downloading sequentially afterward.
You can find an option in the "Options" tab to show detailed info (or you can simply press F5). Now you can view the individual files from the torrent. Right click on any of the files and you'll find the option to Prioritize by File Order.

I have several RSS filters set up to automatically download given episodes, and I seem to be running into a problem of duplicate episodes downloading when the "Smart Episode Filter" is NOT selected. The problem is, that on certain episodes which will remain hypothetical, such as 'The Fictitious Daily Broadcast', if the Smart Episode Filter is selected, and since these episodes do not have a season or an episode #, than the daily digest of episodes will NOT automatically download.
However, if the Smart Episode filter IS NOT selected, than the episodes will automatically download, but it will download all of the episodes relating to 'The Fictitious Daily Broadcast', from all of the RSS feeds that I subscribe to.
Is there a way to allow it to search all of the RSS feeds that I subscribe to, but only download one daily copy of the episode, without either having to download manually, or getting duplicate copies, when the Smart Episode filter is deselected?
I am aware that if I were to change the selected Feed in the Filter Settings, that this would solve the problem, but I would prefer to let utorrent scan multiple RSS feeds, to ensure that the daily episode is found and download properly.
Setting the interval would accommodate what you ask, but without smart episode filter it will download everything in the feed that often instead of every update or one entry per update (if smart episode filter were used). . .The funny thing is I never seem to have trouble with The Daily Show or The Colbert Report. Is this using 1.7.7? If so, can you try with 1.8?
I use tvrss >< I don't actually have a separate Favourite. It uses the default * FILTER set when you auto-download torrents. I have smart episode enabled as well as 12 hour release times. _name=The+Daily+Show&show_name_exact=true&mode=rss
